Instead of dance this year, Cadence wanted to try gymnastics.
She has loved it!
Here are some of the pictures from her "Show Off" day just before Christmas.
Her class warmed up. . . 
They had learned a little routine - which was adorable.
She showed us her skills on the balance beam. . . 
the trampoline. . .
and the bars. . . 
Then she stood on a platform while we all cheered. . . Grandma and pa gave her flowers. . .
To top it all off, she got to sit on Santa's lap. . .
It happened to be Ashland's birthday that day.
She didn't have very many smiles, but deep down - she was happy.
Cadence's favorite part about gymnastics is the foam pit. She loves jumping in to the dark abyss - and is fearless.
We think Cadence has found her niche. She loves gymnastics - and has even started doing cartwheels all on her own.

So fun! Dylanie took gymnastics at that age, too...and loved it. She has really missed being out of it. Yay for Cadence!
