Thanksgiving 2008

Our Thanksgiving was spent in Utah with my parents and my brother's family. We started off our day with a little swimming.

Aren't those little baby legs cute? Shelton seriously makes Ashland look like a little pipsqueak.

The look of sheer amazement on my face (upper right) was because Ashland had just stood up on her own. She is totally walking now, but she has to be next to something in order to get to her feet. Well, before she walked to me, she just stood up. First and last time I've seen it.

Life is good.

After our morning swim, the girls did a little Thanksgiving Craft. These cute little turkeys were made with Marshmallow Cookies, Whoppers, Butterscotch Chips, Fruit Roll-ups, Jelly Beans and Frosting.

Cute little guys, don't you think?

Because we were in Utah and not at "Mom's House," we decided to - sit down if you need to - go out for our Thanksgiving Feast. It was AMAZING!!! Just show up, sit down, pick Turkey or Ham, eat, leave. . . no cooking, no cleaning. Just pure yum!!

Just a few funnies - we looked over at Kahlea - the cute little innocent faced girl - and all broke into laughter. She had taken two carrots and put one up each nostril. Manners? Who needs them. My dad - he didn't eat much of his food. After getting a potato lodged in his throat, he spent a good majority of his time hacking and - how can I put this nicely - PUKING!!! It was awesome. New adventures around every corner when you're with the Burton's.

Anyone who knows my Cadence, knows she's not a big "eater." I sat across from her and was mesmerized by how much she was enjoying her food. It was truly a little Thanksgiving miracle. There is one picture of Ashland too - she always enjoys her food.

These are pictures of what my nieces were wearing for Thanksgiving. My brother and his wife are quite the team. Blake draws these awesomely creative pictures and Nicole appliques them on the clothes she makes. They are both very talented - and together - are simply amazing.

Overall, we had a great Thanksgiving.

Yee Haw--I'm voting for this every year. No cooking all day while the male gender does their thing and No cleaning up while the male gender does their thing. I think we finally go it figured out.
