Ben and I had the opportunity to go to a Jazz game Monday night. Awesome. We were offered the tickets five minutes before we needed to leave for Salt Lake. Not so awesome. Add kids and responsibility and you get a husband that has the opportunity to go to a Jazz game Monday night - and a wife who gets to stay home with the kids and pretend to be happy for her husband. Here's the kicker. . . They were second row seats - with some huge perks attached. . . parking so close you practically steal them from the handicapped, all you can eat buffet filled with decadent foods, seats close enough to smell the sweat on the players, a waiter willing to provide for your every need, a private room at halftime filled with any snack your mind can dream of. . . the list goes on.
Just one more reason - on a day when I could practically lose my mind - to love being a mom. If you can't sense my sarcasm - know that I do love being a mom - I just sometimes want to - as my dear friend Deon put it - ride off into the sunset. It just doesn't seem fair that my husband got to "ride off" without me! Does anyone feel sorry for me yet? Boohoo. . .
(Click on the ticket and look closely - at the price!!! What? Are you kidding me?)

Now you really make me feel bad for sleeping through the ringing phone. You would have hated it I'm sure--great game besides all the perks. Next time I will not be so selfish. I promise. I am so sooo sorry.
Mom
I share your need to ride (RUN some days) into the sunset! I am sorry you didn't get a little get away!
Remember the days when we could just go to a movie or play games until late.... ahh how free we were without kids running around! And how all we could think about was having them... Life is so funny!
I think you deserve a little YOU time! Maybe IKEA is calling! :)
I feel bad for you. This kind of thing happens to me at least weekly with Kristian. He gets to do a lot of cool things. Do the spouses ever get invited??! That's a big fat NOPE.
BUT...I did soak up a nice Christmas holiday, so I'll hush right up.
Bummer! Ben owes you BIG!
Is that price a joke!? Oh how much fun we all could have with $602 to spend in 3 hours.
Aww man! Whatever, husbands have all the fun. Mine is in Cheyenne all week. ALL WEEK. Did I mention that he comes back on Saturday just to leave again on Wednesday? Whatever, I moving closer to you so at least WE can play sometime...
