The Tale of Three Princesses

Once upon a time, there were three beautiful princesses that lived in a land far, far away. They were locked away in the tallest tower each day as their prince went off to "work." Every day, they would make the most of their time together by singing and dancing - that is, only when their chores were done. Their chores were many - cleaning, laundry, making meals. . . the list goes on and on really. The eldest princess had the bulk of the work placed on her shoulders. She was to care for the younger princesses and make sure that they were happy and well. The three princesses were never allowed to leave the tower - for the a wicked witch had cast a spell upon it called WINTER. Outside the tower was a frozen wasteland which was incredibly treacherous and would not sustain life. The prince was only able to leave because his fairy godmother created a orange carriage that would transport him back and forth to his princesses safely. Well, one day when the princesses had been locked away with no outside contact for hours and hours, their prince finally arrived home. In his hand he carried three of the most beautiful roses in all the land. He had brought each of them a rose. For the younger princesses, pink. For the elder, red. The roses were said to bring the heat of spring and give each princess a glimpse into the time when the terrible spell would be broken. A time when the flowers would blossom once again and bring warmth and happiness to all the land. It's unknown when the spell will be broken, but the flowers will stand as a symbol of hope for all.

HOPE

Thank you, Prince!!

He sure knows how to create happiness.

The prince was trying to help her hold her flower the right way. She was having none of that!!!

The littlest princess with her first flowers. Gentle? no. Happy? YES!

Great story!!! Cadence loves it too. Did you know she had me read it to her three times while we were talking on the phone?

Awww....What a good daddy and husband you are, Ben! And what a good storyteller, Brooke. Did you ever think about writing children's books?

I love a good princess story! Very clever! What a great prince you have.

Hope you are alright after your fall. That is no fun. Glad you are in capable hands. Nothing like some kiddie band-aids to take away the pain. Good for you for jogging in the winter wonderland. I remember those days.
