It just makes me realize how quickly this time goes.
I was talking to a friend yesterday who had a baby about the same time I did. We are both just reeling in the weirdness. They are both over a year old now. I can't handle it.
How can I get to the end of the day and realize I didn't even get on the floor to play with my girls? How can I get to the end of a day and realize I didn't read a book or play a game or just stop what I was doing to just soak in the moments.
They grow so fast.
I think I'm missing it.
Make a Memory
Make a memory with your children,
Spend some time to show you care;
Toys and trinkets can't replace those
Precious moments that you share.
Money doesn't buy real pleasure,
It doesn't matter where you live;
Children need your own attention,
Something only you can give.
Childhood's days pass all too quickly,
Happy memories all too few;
Plan to do that special something,
Take the time to go or do.
Make a memory with your children,
Take the time in busy days;
Have some fun while they are growing,
Show your love in gentle ways.

I'm going to get off the computer now to play with my kids. I'll give you an update tomorrow of the "memories" we made.

You are so wise to realize this little fact of life while the girls are still young. It's reaaly sad to look back as a granma and wonder what you missed. I love you wise lady!
Mom
Not having the greatest mommy day today. I really needed to read this. Thanks for sharing.
What a perfect post! Perfect song. Perfect pictures. Perfect words. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am assuming that since you didn't post yesterday that means you are too busy making too many memories. Good for you!
