Ashie Turned ONE!!!

It's official - my baby is growing up. I'm drying the tears as I type. I am just not ready for her to be so grown up. . . walking around, talking like she knows English, expressing her opinion openly and very effectively, laughing at jokes only she seems to understand, ransacking every room in the house in a matter of seconds, facing forward in her car seat, and suddenly seeming so big.

First picture - the look on her face the moment she saw her birthday cake.
Second picture - "I'll take that."
Third picture - "No, seriously, GIVE IT TO ME!!"

I made this miniature cake for Ashland. It wasn't much bigger than a cupcake. She loves anything stuffed and furry. I thought this bear would be perfect for her - and she loved it.

I thought she would tear into her cake without abandon, but she was very gentle and dainty - she even needed a little encouragement. I think she enjoyed it though. Ashland loves anything sweet. . . just like her Momma.

Ashie's favorite thing is a dog puppet we have. I always pretend to lick the girls faces with it and make it pant. Ashland has caught right on to that - and makes her own little panting noise anytime she sees it - or anything furry for that matter. Before she even got her present opened, she could see the fur and just stuck out her little tongue and started panting - in the cutest little way only she does. It was so adorable.

My friend Jenny, found this stuffed dog on sale and bought it for Ashland - Thanks!! She has been so cute with it. She carries him around just panting.

Happy Birthday little Ashie Baby. We love you.

Wow...what a lot of posts! You have been busy! Love the dance pictures and the bear cake. I tell you...you are hiding your talents. Had I known you could make a cake like that I would had hired you to make one for Caleb's birthday. Glad all has gone well and that it's almost Christmas :)

My, my my! So much to read about... and so much going on!!! One year old? No stinking way! How does time go so fast? She is so precious! And I cannot believe that you made that cake! IT is adorable, and perfect! I used to always think it was so cheesy when people say "Enjoy every moment, they grow up so fast.." - things like that. But it is so true! And now I could say that everyday!
