Ben's IT!!! (a tag)

Thanks Kim - this is a fun one. I love remembering those moments when I was just falling in love with Ben. . . and how I love him even more than I could have ever imagined back then. (I love you, Benny.)

Where did you meet?
In Lakewood, Ohio - we were both missionaries - yeah, I know - scary. But we were very obedient - I've always said that if we would have met under different circumstances, we probably would have looked right past one another.

How long did you date before you were married?
This may sound bad, but we never really "dated". When I got home from my mission, I lived at home with my parents while I was getting ready to go back to school. Ben's parents moved from AZ to Rexburg the week after I got home. The first time we saw each other, he came to stay at my house for a few days. After that, it was just visiting each other on weekends at our parent's houses. So, Ben never officially picked me up - took me on a date - and brought me home. But for facts and figures, we were together four and a half months before we got married.

How long have you been married?
Seven years, five months, and four weeks - but who's counting.

What does he do that surprises you?
Oh, I love Ben. He does a lot of things that surprise me, but one of my favorites is when he let's me sleep in and brings me breakfast in bed. This is a picture of my breakfast just this morning. I had a long night with Ashie and he let me sleep in and made me this CUTE breakfast. Ahh!


What is your favorite feature of his?
His hands. I love them. They are so strong. His dad used to call him Bear when he was little because he had such big hands.


What is your favorite quality of his?
How he can't lie - he just can't do it. It's cute. He tries sometimes, but I can see right through it.

Does he have a Nickname for you?
Babe

What is his favorite color?
BLUE

What is his favorite food?
Depends on his mood, he likes all types - Chicken La Paz is his favorite childhood meal.

What is his favorite sport?
Football - Go Cowboys!!

When and where was your first kiss?
On my couch the night we saw each other for the first time after our missions.

Favorite thing to do as a couple?
Just be together.

Do you have any children?
Two. Cadence - 3, Ashland - 9 months. It has been so fun to watch him grow into his role as Dad. He loves his girls and is so cute with them.

Somehow, Cadence has a very real power over her Daddy. She has him wrapped around her little finger.

And Ashland. . . Daddy is top on her list of favorites!. . . (right after me, of course.)

Does he have a hidden talent?
He likes making things with his hands - if he had more time and money, I think he would love to have a shop and build furniture.

How old is he?
Seven months away from the big 3-0.

Who said I love you first?
Ahhh, he did.

What is his favorite type of music?
He likes all sorts - even some stuff he shouldn't - it all goes back to his rebellious nature.

What do you admire most about him?
Well, there's a lot, but the thing I admire MOST is how he can talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere.
