Ashland didn't really enjoy her modeling debut.
This is what we wanted her to do - just crawl down the "runway" with her cute little tail wagging behind. This picture was taken after it was over - not during!
Well the only smiles she gives is when she is in Grandma's arms.
And to make matters worse, I took her in to have her nine month pictures today. It was a DISASTER!!! She cried. She cried some more. Then she kept right on crying. I am so tired of leaving photography studios in tears - especially after so many tears have already been spilt during the shoot. In the end, we left with a few "cute" pictures - not "smily" pictures - but cute just the same. Any suggestions on making babies happy for photos? Please share your wisdom.

what a cute haloween idea! love it! I wish I could get my kids to sit still during photo shoots, they won't even look in the general direction of the camerea! sadly, no
I have learned that pictures must be taken after a full feeding, a sippy cup of milk, and after a good nap. I'm sure you did all of this. Bottom line is...kids don't like their pictures taken in studio's. They'll pull out a happy face anyday and at anytime if it's with your hand held camera in front of your couch. They are funny little people but don't you just love the cute little ways about them? Take a look at Caleb's one year pictures on my blog. Look at the last one. It's priceless...and yes, he was crying!
Getting your picture taken sucks, and the kids think so too! I take my kids to Walmart so it only costs about $5. This way if they don't turn out I'm not too upset. It seems that my laid back attitude about the whole thing seems to help as well. What am I saying though? I hardly ever take my kids to get their pictures taken. Don't listen to me, I have no idea. That is why I look to you for answers.
